Encounters, Support and Joy – Neighbourhood Mothers’ Versatile Spring 2026

The year 2026 has gotten off to a brisk start and so have the diverse group activities organised by Neighbourhood Mothers. Neighbourhood Mothers program is a volunteer-based activity coordinated by Nicehearts. (Visit an external site. The link opens in a new tab.) Women trained in the program support other immigrant women by organizing group activities and helping with everyday matters. All Neighbourhood Mothers activities are free of charge, open to everyone and easy to join. The groups offer a space to talk, relax, meet new people and find meaningful things to do.

This spring, Neighbourhood Mothers will organise activities in six locations: Espoo, Helsinki, Imatra, Lappeenranta, Vantaa and Pori. The programme is relaxed and accessible, with no prior knowledge required. The content and languages vary by group, and children are welcome to join most activities. More detailed information can be found on the Neighbourhood Mothers website as well as on Instagram (Visit an external site. The link opens in a new tab.), Facebook (Visit an external site.
