The Rangnevis-ha workshop is a creative cultural and artistic program designed for children under 15 and migrant women. It combines storytelling, illustration, and collaborative book creation.
Time: Every Monday, starting 22.9.2025, 10.30-12.00.
Place: Annantalo, Art room 3, Annankatu 30, 00100 Helsinki
During the workshop, short stories from classical Persian literature—such as Kalila and Dimna or Masnavi-e Ma’navi—will be read aloud to participants. The children and women will then illustrate the stories using simple art materials. The final result will be compiled into a collective illustrated book and presented in a final exhibition held at Annantalo.
Program:
- Introduction & Storytelling: Participant introductions, reading selected story
- Discussion & Brainstorming: Group discussion on characters and scenes
- Illustration I: Beginning illustrations using simple techniques
- Illustration II: Continuing and completing illustrations
- Book Compilation & Design: Selecting artworks, designing the cover, layout setup
- Exhibition & Celebration: Final exhibition and distribution of certificates
