The application for the spring 2025 Neighbourhood Mothers trainings is now open. The Neighbourhood Mothers training is aimed at women who have moved to Finland and want to support others and organise community activities in their neighbourhood. Immigrant women have of skills, experience and knowledge that can help other women and families who have moved to Finland and to help make a difference in society. The Neighbourhood Mothers training provides tools for organising activities, helping others and support in identifying your own skills.
In spring 2025, the trainings will take place in Helsinki, Vantaa, Lappeenranta and Espoo.

The Neighbour Mothers training is about learning and discussing together
The Neighbourhood Mothers training lasts 16 hours and takes place over 2-4 days, depending on the area. The training includes information about Finnish society, how to promote well-being, how to organise your own activities and how to help others. A certificate is awarded for the training. An important part of the training is joint discussions and learning together. Many participants have found new friends!
After the training, you can organise community activities and support women in your area. There will be fun activities, additional trainings and an annual well-being day for Neighbourhood Mothers. You will be supported by a team of knowledgeable and friendly coordinators. Find out more about the training here.
